Decision Day

The last day of the PWHL regular season is upon us! Three games and what felt like a million different scenarios all decided starting with the outcome of the Toronto Sceptres vs. the Ottawa Charge game.

Slow slow start for the first 20. Everyone was trying to find their footing in what they wanted this game to be. The first period came and went, four shots on goal for all. The second period gets started and the action and fighting energy can along with it. Solid chances flew through for both sides.

At 12:15 Sarah Nurse struck first and made it 1-0 for the Sceptres.

Brianne Jenner from the Charge gets it back seconds later to tie the game at one.

An eventful yet scoreless third period kept the game stuck at a goal a piece. Overtime came next where Kateřina Mrázová called game with a top shelf blast that blew past Sceptres goalie Kristen Campbell.

Alongside the thrills of the game today was also the Sceptres Fan Appreciation presented by MILK. With a final attendance count of 8593 there were lots of people to appreciate. Plenty of giveaways from start to finish for fans to enjoy. As well as an end of game address by Sceptres GM Gina Kingsbury.

With their win in overtime the Ottawa Charge clinched a spot in the playoffs as the third seed in the league. Toronto secured their place in second.
